Abut Kebudi MD, Prof., FACS, FEBS (Hon)

Prof. Kebudi graduated from Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine in 1981. After completing his General Surgery residency in Istanbul University in 1988, he worked as a general surgeon in Sisli Etfal Education and Research Hospital in Istanbul, where he recieved his associate professor degree in 1998. He worked as a visiting professor in University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Harbor hospital for oncological and breast surgery. Prof. Kebudi worked also at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Breast Surgery Unit.

He worked as a full professor and the chairman of the General Surgery and Surgical Oncology Department and Breast Surgery Unit of Maltepe University between 2004 -2016 in İstanbul . Since 2016 to present he is a full professor and the chairman of the Department of General Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgery Unit at Okan University in İstanbul. He is consultant in Breast Surgery and General Surgery in the American Hospital in İstanbul.

He was elected as an active Fellow of American College of Surgeons (FACS) in 2006. He is also an active Fellow of European Board of Surgery (FEBS). He is the past president of Turkish Breast Surgery Society . He is a member of the Turkish Federation of National Breast Societies and also a member of board of governors at MAYMET (Marmara Anatolian Region Breast Education Working Group) . Prof. Kebudi is the vice-president and executive director of SENATURK (Senology Academy of Turkey) and executive board member of South-East European Chapter of EURAMA (European-Asian Society of Breast Diseases).
